The Executive Vice President Committee (EVPCom) presented their Plans and Programs for 2013 during the very first EVPCom Executive Leadership and Planning Seminar last December 3 to 4, 2012, with the theme “EVPCom Leadership: Empowered Towards Dynamic Changes in Designing New Educational Paradigms”.
With no less than Dr. Edita I. Chan, UMak Executive Vice President, leading the critiquing and setting the direction after each presentation, the one and a half day session proved to be very productive and inspiring for the team, in preparation for the upcoming University-wide Annual Program Review and Planning Workshop.
Areas of improvement, coordination and synergy among offices were suggested and discussed, and naturally, successful programs and projects were commended and served as models for emulation. As the University undergoes dynamic transition, the offices under the Executive Vice President need to take the lead in adapting and developing new educational paradigms with a strengthened workforce – from the heads, to the junior officers, and even the rank and file.
Held at the scenic Mt. Tabor Recreation Center in Cabuyao, Laguna, the team also welcomed the chance to take a respite from the hectic pace of the city, as the enjoyed the view, the cool weather, and the wholesome food.
The EVPCom looks forward to an even more prolific 2013 as the different quasi-administration offices continue to thrive and capably serve both the administration and academic offices of the University, all under the competent helm of Dr. Chan.
The EVPCom is composed of the Center for Extension Service, Entrepreneurial and Livelihood Education, Corporate Communication Center, Makati Training, Placement and Livelihood Consortia, Office of Student Affairs (Center for Student and Cultural Affairs, Guidance and Counseling Center, Makati Consortium for Educational Scholars), Planning Center, Quality Management and Development Center, and University Registrar.
