CHK Profs. Angeles, Osana and Porciuncula Win 1st
18 participants, 6 teams, 6 games, 1 title – Everything can be
measured in numbers, but not necessarily a person’s age.
was proven by UMak employees, ages 50 and above, as 18 participants in six teams
gamely battled in six games for the coveted first prize of the 43rd
Founding Anniversary’s Golden Games and
bragging rights to attest that age is just a number.
In the end, the cheer dancing trio of Prof. Carmen Angeles,
Prof. Leonila Osana and Prof. Zenaida Porciuncula from the Center of Human Kinesthetics
(CHK) emerged victorious as they bagged the first prize.
The Administration team of Dr. Antonio Maralit, Prof. Romualdo
Protacio and Ms. Angelita Benedicto came at second, and the College of Arts and
Sciences team of Prof. Edgardo Martin, Prof. Rey Medenilla and Prof. Zenaida
Vicencio got the third prize.
Held on March 6, 2015 in front of the Administration
Building, the golden employees of UMak demonstrated that they too can dance to the
youthful beat of today’s music by surpassing the mental and physical challenges
set in each game.
All six teams impressively survived the nerve-wracking,
mind-boggling, and time-pressing tasks that they confronted in six games that
included, Shocking Wave, Picture Perfect,
